Isle of Man Police Federation welcomes payout
A one-off pay offer of £3000 shows Manx police officers are 'respected'.
That's according to the Chair of the Isle of Man Police Federation.
Speaking to Manx Radio Barry Hand said it's a good start in terms of ensuring better pay for Manx officers.
Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson announced the payment in Tynwald yesterday saying it was a way of addressing 'recruitment and retention issues while long-term pay solutions are explored'.
Mr Hand has described it as 'step one' but believes there's a lot more work to be done:
