The Island's thinnest policeman has been vandalised.
PC Flat, a cardboard cut-out of a police officer used for roads policing, was completely destroyed between 10.30 and 11pm yesterday.
Inspector Derek Flint says he is 'astounded' by the stupidity of those responsible, as PC Flat was placed outside a school at the time and was there to improve road safety.
PC Flat was due to go to Ballaugh school in the north of the Island next week, but this won't now be possible.
A large piece of the cut-out is still missing and anybody who knows where it is, or who is responsible for the criminal damage, is asked to ring Ramsey police on 812 234, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
