A Baldrine man remains in hospital with serious injuries following an accident on the main Douglas to Castletown Road on Thursday.
It happened at around 3.20pm in the dip close to the Hop Garden pub and the Mount Murray Hotel, and also involved a white Renault van driven by a man from Port St Mary.
The man who was injured was a pedestrian
Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time.
They particularly want to talk to people who saw the van, and any pedestrians who were on the Mount Murray side of the road.
The numbers to ring are 631212 for Police Headquarters, or 0800 555 111 to leave information anonymously.
The road was closed for several hours on Thursday, as officers carried out investigations.
