Woman struck by car in Douglas
Police have confirmed a female pedestrian is receiving hospital treatment after being hit by a car in Douglas today (9 October).
The collision happened at 2.25pm on Ballanard Road at the junction with Park Avenue.
The female driver of the vehicle, who is also a local woman, is said to be assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit shut Ballanard Road whilst they undertook a full forensic collision examination and reconstruction.
It has since reopened.
They’re now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dash camera or CCTV footage of the incident, to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
