No breach of Public Health Act, says minister
There is no danger to swimmers from leachate being discharged into Peel Bay.
That's according to Environment Minister Richard Ronan.
During House of Keys questions today, Onchan member Peter Karran asked about contaminants in leachate from the Raggatt Tip, which is discharged into the Bay rather than directly into the River Neb.
Mr Ronan told the House there is no breach of the Public Health Act, though he admitted the situation isn't ideal.
