David Pownall to donate £40,000 to Noble's Hospital if elected
A candidate in the Peel by-election who has vowed to donate his salary to cancer research, says it is not a tactic to win over voters.
David Pownall says if he's elected he intends to donate his £40,000 wage to what he terms 'cancer diagnostics' at Noble's Hospital.
He says however, it has nothing to do with winning more votes.
Other candidates vying for the seat in Peel are Leslie Hanson, Ray Harmer and Penny Hardman.
