Following an alert by the Marine Operations Centre, the rescue team at Peel's coastguard attended a scene to assist a casualty on Peel Hill.
The casualty had fallen approximately five metres and it was decided the safest way to extract them was to lower a basket stretcher to the road.
Paramedics were on hand who were given the casualty to be checked over.
Coastguard officials then returned to their station by 4pm.
