Chair Christine Moughtin says residents have been waiting for over 20 years
Peel Commissioners will support the application for a sewage treatment plant - despite an appeal which has been submitted.
Chair Christine Moughtin says it's an 'important project' for Peel and the local authority will provide Manx Utilities with backing during the process.
The appeal has come from a local landowner who says they have approval for 21 houses on a site adjacent to where the proposed treatment works are.
Ms Moughtin says residents in Peel have waited over 20 years for a solution.
