Peel Commissioners are considering plans to encourage more recycling within the town.
They are investigating the possibility of introducing 'community recycling points' which they claim would be in 'easy walking distance' of every household.
Once the new system is set up, the idea would be for rubbish to be collected fortnightly - instead of every week.
In a newsletter to residents, the commissioners say more information will be released later this year.
