But Dandara given permission for new development
Peel Commissioners say the town lacks the infrastructure needed to support a new housing development.
This week Dandara was granted permission to build 92 homes by the golf links and Castle View Nursing Home.

The local authority had objected to the initial application highlighting concerns around the sewage treatment works and the lack of walking and cycling links to the schools.
Chair Christine Moughtin says she received 'lots' of inquiries from residents about the development.
