Maintenance dredging of Peel Inner Harbour is scheduled to start today, as part of ongoing preparatory work for the proposed marina.
The work'll involve taking about half a metre to a metre depth of silt, sand and gravel deposits from the harbour bed between the flap gate and the bottom of the slipway on Station Quay.
The Department of Transport says the dredging will also assist the proposed installation of pontoons in the inner harbour, which is due to come before the February sitting of Tynwald for approval.
