A 29 year-old Peel man has been remanded in custody after police seized drugs with a street value of more than £5,000.
Steven Lee Barlow of Market Street in the town appeared before magistrates today (Wednesday).
Officers went to a house in the street yesterday morning where they found what's described as ‘a significant amount’ of Class A controlled drugs - believed to be cocaine - and a small amount of a Class C drug.
Police say it’s a significant local seizure and shows those who deal drugs in the west of the Island are being actively targeted.
Mr Barlow has been remanded until a week today (May 16).
