UK example sells for almost £50,000
The buyer of a rare micro car produced on the Isle of Man is hoping to restore the vehicle to its former glory.
A Peel P50 was sold mid-week at Brightwells in Leominster for almost £50,000.
Only 30 of the cars are thought to be still around today - and $160,000 was paid for a fully restored P50 two years ago.
Auctioneer at Brightwells, Toby Service, told Manx Radio a lot of interest was shown in the item when it went under the hammer - with many of the prospective buyers having the same idea:
