Scheme will see new bins, bollards and street lamps installed
Work to transform part of Peel’s town centre will get underway this week as the Department of Infrastructure beings regeneration work.
A scheme to improve Market Place and part of Douglas Street will see sandstone paving and granite kerbs installed as well as new bins, bollards and street lamps outside St Peter’s Church.
Peel MHK Ray Harmer, who’s also chair of the town’s Regeneration Committee, says it represents significant investment which he hopes will encourage more people and businesses into Peel.
Construction will start on Tuesday.
