
It’s the final day of the Peel Traditional Boat Festival today (Sunday).
The event sees hundreds of old-fashioned craft take part in races and displays, along with boat jumble sails.
This year, insurance problems have meant the competition to build a boat and sail it across Peel Harbour won’t take place.
But organiser Mike Clark says having the Peel Harbour water retention scheme finished makes it a much better event (audio file attached):
