The Council of Ministers won't be reporting on the public sector pensions review until early next year.
A statement on the position was made by Chief Minister Tony Brown in Tynwald.
He thanked all those who had read and commented on the proposals and said 'emerging themes' would be included in a report, with clear proposals on how the issues raised would be addressed.
He said that due to the extended consulatation period, and the complex nature of the feedback, the Council of Ministers wouldn't be able to produce its draft report until the end of November.
The proposals would then go before Tynwald in January 2010.
