Problems with UK-wide booking system
Problems with the UK-wide Covid-19 test booking system have led to some in Northern Ireland being directed to the Isle of Man and Scotland for the checks.
It’s been reported by the Belfast Newsletter, after many highlighted issues with the service.
The country’s health minister Robin Swann has stressed people aren't expected to go to the Island or Scotland for the tests, with some politicians there calling for a ‘rapid solution’ to fix the booking system.
It comes as Northern Ireland is experiencing an increase in deaths linked to coronavirus.
The Island’s borders are currently closed to non-residents, unless they've been issued with an exemption certificate by the Cabinet Office.
