Council leader urges people 'passionate' about their area to consider standing
The leader of Douglas Council says people shouldn't join local authorities expecting to 'change the world' quickly.
Claire Wells believes it takes time to see 'progress' but adds the decisions made by the council affect the community directly.
Local Authority Elections are taking place across the Island on 24 April.
Councillor Wells says people who are 'passionate' about their area should consider standing.
