Six puppies given to Manx SPCA for rehoming in six weeks
Manx residents, who'd like to add a new pet to the family home, are being urged to get their 'ducks in a row' first.
The advice is from the ManxSPCA which has had six puppies given up for rehoming in the last six weeks.
Krysia Boruch and Lily Johnson told Manx Radio it's the first time they've seen an increase in puppies being given up to the charity - adding in the past seven years they've only had about four or five taken in.
They've noticed more people are able to purchase a puppy but unable to continue with the financial aspect of being a pet owner:
