Call for age signifiers to be included on permit
A disabled Manx resident says he believes there are a number of people on the Island who use someone else's Blue Badge permit to park in disabled bays when they shouldn't:

Permits issued on the Isle of Man don't show the holder's age.
Eric says if they did, it would be easier to catch those misusing the system:
In response, Manx Care says: 'Applicants need to fit one of two criteria to qualify for a blue badge:
a) They are unable to walk or have considerable difficulty walking due to a permanent or substantial difficulty;
b) They have a severe congenital disability in both arms and drive a vehicle regularly.
The age bracket is 5 years or over – parents/carers can apply on behalf of a child.
It should be noted that the blue badge has the applicant’s picture, name, signature and the badge’s serial number and expiry date. There are no age signifiers on the card.'
