Head of service says in general they benchmark 'really well'
Efforts are underway to improve the time people on the Island have to wait for an ambulance.
The head of the Isle of Man Ambulance Service says, in general, waiting times are benchmarking 'really well' compared to those in the United Kingdom.
However Will Bellamy has confirmed there are a 'very small number' of category one calls – which represent life threatening emergencies – which fall below the response target of seven minutes.
He’s told Manx Radio it’s due in part to the Island's 'unique geography' but says it's something that’s being addressed:
