Management wants to alleviate 'large queues'
The KFC on Peel Road in Douglas could be open 24/7 - if a planning application (24/00753/B) is approved.
The restaurant currently operates between 10:30am and midnight daily.
Management says the store is experiencing 'high demand' which is having the 'knock-on effect of causing large queues both in the restaurant and the delivery/drive-thru lane.'
The application states: "Extending the opening hours will hopefully alleviate some of this pressure and will help with traffic management on site and in the surrounding areas by spreading out customer demand, similar to the nearby McDonald’s unit which operates 24 hours over the weekend period."
If approved, it will be the second time the store has varied its hours since opening back in 2022.
