Non-Island resident allowed to return to the UK after a week
A non-Island resident who tested positive for coronavirus during a trip to the Isle of Man, has been allowed to return home for 'compassionate reasons'.
The individual, who tested positive last Monday, was allowed to take two further tests within the week.
After both results returned negative, the individual was then allowed to return home to the UK, after being thought to be 'low-risk'.
Health Minister David Ashford says this is the first time somebody has been granted permission to end isolation early following a double negative result.
Government say the decision was based on 'clinical advice'.
