Police provide update after incident closed roads in the area
Police have confirmed that a person has died following a road traffic collision in the Hillberry area this morning (16 January).
The incident occurred at around 9:30am, involving a red Mini.
No further details have been given regarding the person who has died, other than that they were the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses who saw the red Mini being driven along the Mountain Road or through Hillberry.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
Road closures in place around Little Mill Road, Cronk-ny-Mona and the Creg ny Baa have now been lifted and the routes reopened.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene this morning.
