A minority of pet owners seem to have ruined any chance of the Cronkdhoo pet cemetery in Greeba opening again.
Landowners at the site have been verbally abused by a small number of animal lovers.
When they bought the site earlier this year, the new owners made it clear they would not be running the facility, or the adjoining campsite.
There were faint hopes they might reconsider, but South Douglas MHK David Cretney, who met them to discuss the issue, says it now appears the minority have spoilt it for the majority wishing to visit the final resting place of their pets:
