EU pet passports not valid for Manx residents from January
EU pet passports given out in the Isle of Man won't be valid for entry into the bloc from next year.
Owners will need an animal health certificate instead, with rules around pet travel to change as a result of Brexit.
It applies to dogs, cats and ferrets.
Guidance from the UK government suggests those affected should contact vets as early as possible to obtain the certificate ahead of travel.
If the rules aren't followed, a pet may be put into quarantine for up to four months.
From 1 January next year, the Isle of Man will become a 'Part 2 listed third country' for pet travel to the EU and Northern Ireland.
