Pets At Home has a branch on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate
A retailer with a store on the Island says it needs to take 'urgent and necessary' action to address falling profits.
Pets at Home, which has a branch on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate, says its overall group profits have dropped by 33.5 percent in the 28 weeks to 9 October.
The company reports that its vet services business performed strongly, but retail profit is down 84 percent.
A decline in sales of accessories, as well as customers buying directly from food manufacturers have been identified as key causes for the drop.
