One of the giants of British film Peter O'Toole has died at the age of 81.
O’Toole was one of the ‘nearly men’ missing out on a Oscar for his starring role in the 1962 classic Lawrence of Arabia.
In 2005, he starred in the film Lassie, part shot in the Isle of Man.
He’d received an honorary Oscar two years earlier, having initially turned it down.
Actors, politicians and commentators have paid tribute to the actor, who passed away on Saturday after a long illness.
