
A Peel commissioner says he’ll present a petition for redress of grievance next Tynwald Day unless the government starts discussing ID cards.
Rodger Gimbert says his fears about data privacy were first raised when his children were asked to give fingerprints to use their school library.
But he says now the UK has announced biometric cards will be in use by 2010, the Isle of Man needs to know whether it’s affected.
