Over 2,000 people call for campsite to reopen
A petitioner and representative of the Manx Motorhome Group is hopeful the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will reconsider its decision to put a stop to overnight camping at Sulby Claddagh.
Keith Pringle's petition, which has already collected over 2,000 signatures, will be taken to a public meeting at the Sulby Glen Hotel this evening.
Last week the department said the reason for the closure was because the toilet block needs to be demolished.
Mr Pringle told Manx Radio his petition represents what people want and he hopes government listens:
