A photographic exhibition with a difference opens in the Island on Friday.
The images taken by local people, will form part of the government's bid to win world biosphere status from UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
Biosphere status gives high-profile recognition to regions which demonstrate they support a special mix of well-tended landscapes with diverse and vibrant economies.
Put simply - it's a chance to show the world the Isle of Man is a special place in which to live and work - a 'living landscape'.
More than 200 photos have been submitted and the best will be put on display at the Sayle Gallery in Douglas.
Peter Longworth from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's about demonstrating a high quality of life in a unique setting:
