A chance to look back and forward at the same time.
That's how a 'Celebrate the Pier' event in Ramsey today (Saturday) is being billed.
Those attending will be able to recall memories of the halcyon days of the Queen's Pier, see a display of photographs and paintings, and enjoy refreshments.
The Victorian structure is in urgent need of repair and safety work, and there is hope it can be fully restored once the government's finances improve.
In the meantime, nearly £2 million has been earmarked to preserve parts of it.
