Survey Licence granted
Campaigners bidding to restore a landmark in the north of the Island are celebrating after getting the green light to start work.
A licence has now been granted by the government allowing the Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust so it can begin surveying the iron structure.
If the survey goes well, the organisation will then start work refurbishing the pier later this year.
Stuart McKenzie of the Queen’s Pier Restoration Trust says it’s important to get started soon:

Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
