A racing pigeon is looking for a lift back to Belfast!
The bird, which was blown off course during a competition, was found last week by a family in Douglas.
They were told by the pigeon's owner that, if the bird was allowed to rest and then taken into the Manx countryside, he may be able to fly back to Northern Ireland.
That suggestion was put to the test, but without success.
The bird clearly has a taste for life on the Isle of Man, as he flew straight back to the family who found him and was on their doorstep to greet them when they returned home
They are going away this weekend and are appealing for anyone who may be taking their car to Belfast in the next few days to get in touch.
The pigeon could be placed in a carry-box and returned to his owner.
The number to ring if you can help is 492411.
