Next court sitting October 13
The re-opening of Pulrose’s former pub has moved a step closer.
A new lease is being drawn up for the Pinewood which is in the process of being sold by brewery Heron and Brearley to Haven Homes.
The developer is working with the newly formed Pinewood Social Club, which is chaired by Bill Malarkey, and plans to organise a range of social events at the venue.
Further details will be submitted to the licensing court on October 13.
Heron and Brearley shut the pub in June citing commercial reasons.
Mr Malarkey is one of four candidates contesting Douglas South in next week’s General Election.
The others are David Fowler, Kate Beecroft and Keith Fitton.
