Recommendations in Draft Strategic plan supported
A framework for delivering a robust planning policy for the Island has been given the green light by an independent inspector.
It’s been announced this afternoon (Wednesday) that key recommendations outlined in the Draft Isle of Man Strategic Plan have been supported.
That includes the development of 5,100 homes between 2011 and 2026 – nearly half of which would be built in the east of the Island.
Infrastructure chiefs now hope to adopt the draft plan and go to Tynwald for approval next year.
