Those on board were unharmed
Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says it responded to reports of a light aircraft crash in the area of Mount Rule, Douglas, just before three o'clock this afternoon.
Officers said: "thankfully, the two occupants had managed to exit the aircraft prior to our arrival and were given precautionary checks by colleagues from the Isle of Man Ambulance Service."
One fire engine, an off-road vehicle and the duty officer from Douglas station were at the scene.
Crews remained there for around two hours to make sure it was safe, and help police.
