New accomodation outlined for Willaston
Douglas Borough Council hopes a set of brand new sheltered living apartments in Willaston will ease the strain on residents.
A planning application has been submitted for 41 dwellings, aimed at those aged 55 and over, on the site of the police station on Snaefell Road.
Several existing properties adjacent to the station would also be demolished to make way for the apartments.
It's part of Douglas Borough Council's plan to free up housing elsewhere on the estate for families.
