Extraordinary proposals for iconic building
A potential buyer for the Castle Mona Hotel has made clear its designs for the future use of the building.
An organisation called The King of Moraceae Foundation has surveyed the site multiple times and has been involved in commercial negotiations for the property.
Although yet to be formally established, it wants to create a 'new geographical entity' at the Castle, installing a system of meritocratic monarchy.
The self-styled King Of Moraceae, referred to by Foundation members as His Majesty The Sole - real name Ian James Clanton - is currently writing his PhD thesis on the Castle Mona.
He wants to create a 'futurist realm' and use the building as an embassy for this project whilst establishing it as a 'centre for excellence'.
