Complex proposed for Summerhill View
Construction of a new 60-bed residential care facility has edged closer, after the health department submitted plans for the former site of Glenside.
The proposed new complex has been designed by the DHSC to replace the outdated Reayrt ny Baie, which officials say no longer meets modern standards.
An original application for Summerhill View was rejected, after concerns over vehicle access and visibility around Victoria Road were raised.
The department says these issues have been addressed following a remodelling by architects.
Members of the public have been invited to submit comments on the plans - you can access them via the planning section of the government website.
