Archallagan plantation is set to become home to a cycling and family facility.
With the approval of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, the plantation, just east of Foxdale, will soon be home to cycling trails, running tracks and exercise equipment.
It is the idea of the annual End2End Mountain Bike Challenge committee, who say the ‘legacy project’ will put their small profit back into the community.
Local staff of Zurich International Life will be doing the hard labour, beginning on May 12.
Kate Evans from End2End says it will provide a safe place for the whole family.
