
An Island pressure group is calling on the Manx government to tax plastic bags.
Friends of the Earth says it's the right time for such a move, with the United Kingdom government backing the 're-use' campaign and Marks and Spencer's decision to charge customers 5p a bag from May.
On average, people in the Isle of Man use 216 plastic carrier bags each year and Dolge's re-cycling manager Stephanie Grey (pictured) says what the bags are made from, and how they're disposed, of are the key concerns:
