There is a treat in store for theatre lovers in the Isle of Man over the next three nights.
This year's One Act Play Festival is opening this evening (Thursday) at the Erin Arts Centre.
From dark thrillers to comedy and farce, the festival offers three evenings of varied entertainment, which will judged after the last performance on Saturday.
Tomorrow is Youth Night with plays by talented youngsters, in the first round of the Young Actor of Mann competition.
Norman McGregor Edwards from Rushen Players says there are no elaboate sets for the short plays, so the focus is on the dramatic action (listen to audio file below):
Tonight's performances are 'A Seperate Peace' by Tom Stoppard, 'The Last of the Last of the Mohicans' by Hugh Leonard, and 'Hero' by Michael Lynch.
