World Menopause Day marked on 18 October
Women on the Isle of Man are being urged to continue the conversation around menopause.
Sunday (18 October) marks World Menopause Day.
The International Menopause Society - a non-profit organisation - has led the way globally on menopause related issues since 1978.
It founded the awareness day in 2009.
Each year on World Menopause Day the IMS shines a spotlight on challenges facing women during the transition and highlights improvements in research.
This year’s theme is ‘chronic pain’ - something often experienced during, and after, the menopause transition.
The IMS commissions and publishes a White Paper each year and works to develop accessible resources to support women, healthcare professionals and communities globally.
