Police ask witnesses to come forward
Police are a step closer to catching copper cable thieves who stole materials from a Manx Utilities Authority site.
Not long ago, cable ends were found at Fleshwick beach, now another clue, officers have located an area within Kerrowdhoo Plantation where they burnt the cable.
The task would have been undertaken to remove insulation to access the copper ready for market - which would have blackened their hands and clothing.
Another appeal for witnesses has been launched - officers want to know if anyone has seen a fire at the plantation since 26th of last month.
People with information are expected to call the Western Neighbourhood Policing Team in Peel on 842208.
