New CWU proposals on table ahead of proposed strike action
Around 100 members of the Communication Workers' Union voted last night (6 Feb) to reject the latest proposals from the Post Office but continue negotiations.
They met at the Sefton Hotel in Douglas following two days of discussions with the Post Office Board.
Terry Pullinger of the CWU, admits there has been movement on the board's stated position before Christmas, but claims it still doesn't represent what they are after.
Three days of industrial action is slated to start on Valentine's Day, but Mr Pullinger says another proposal is being put forward by the CWU this weekend.
