A long-running row about how planning permission was granted to a development in Ballasalla came to its conclusion this week.
In Tynwald, a select committee presented its report into the Poacher’s Pocket – recommending limiting the director of planning’s delegated powers.
The court voted unanimously to approve the changes, which means interested parties will now get more of a say in future planning disputes.
Committee Chairman and Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan (pictured) says he believes the report was fair to all sides:

'Unnecessary' delays left electricity customer in limbo
Drone users reminded not to fly devices during Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix course closures
'The Island needs to be able to compete' against other destinations
