Group hopes to change attitude towards racism on Island
POC (People of Colour) IOM is running a new campaign called 'Educating Mann', which aims to improve the conversation and education about race, and bring about change in attitudes towards racism on the Isle of Man.
Its a social media challenge which can be undertaken by reading books on the subject, signing relevant petitions, and nominating a friend to do the same.
POC IoM member Dominique Moran says recent events have highlighted the need for change:
Participators in the challenge will be entitled to 10% off a brick at the Gelatory, and will be entered into a raffle to receive a £50 voucher courtesy of Vannin Travel.
