Slam poetry event takes place on Wednesday evening
Manx lyricists from all walks of life will battle it out tonight in a now-annual literary tradition.
Organisers are anticipating a packed-out crowd at Noa Bakehouse in Douglas for the Manx LitFest Poetry Slam 2017.
Performances are judged by the audience, with points deducted for those who stray over the strict three-minute time limit.
This year's guest compère is the Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson.
Organiser and former champion Bridge Carter says the event is more popular than ever:
Tickets are limited for the event and must be purchased from the venue.
