Coast eroding next to Wright's Pit East
A former rubbish tip in the north of the Island needs to be dealt with, before it starts unloading its contents into the Irish Sea.
That's the view of Charles Guard, who has been speaking about coastal erosion around the Isle of Man on today's Mannin Line.
Wright's Pit East was opened at the Point of Ayre in the mid-1990s, when no other site could be found, and was used until the incinerator was built.
Mr Guard says given the rate of erosion at the Island's most northerly point, this is something which needs to be tackled sooner rather than later:
